Dave and Juran are extremely professional, they are both highly qualified and watch you like hawks to ensure that you are doing the exercises correctly to maximise benefit and avoid injury.
I suffered from cartilage problems in my right knee, but they worked on strengthening the supporting muscles and it no longer bothers me. As for results, I joined as a size 16 and i am now finding my size 12 cloths loose. I am fitter and better toned than I have been since my 20s. "I was always quite fit and active before I graduated and started my career.
After that, I used to have a month where I go most days and then a month or two when I did not go at all. Due to very busy work schedule I struggled to keep myself motivated o stick to a regular schedule.
I reached a point where I was really fed up not achieving my fitness goals year after year and was looking to train with someone who could keep me motivated and accountable to a regular schedule.
My goal originally was to loose weight and become fitter and stronger. It was very important to me to get back to the state where I felt like myself again- active, strong and confident.
I probably tried everything- gym, classes, exercising at home, following different plans. Unfortunately something always got in a way to set me back- work, holidays, busy social life. I could not find enough discipline and motivation within myself to stick to it. I also found it hard and time consuming researching exercises to do to change things up as I get bored very easily.
I was motivated but also anxious that I might be trying another thing which won’t work, which of course was not the case!
I enjoy a personalised approach the most- training is tailored to me and it is always changing which keeps it interesting. Studio has a good atmosphere and it is always fun to come in.
I guess like with a lot of young professionals I really struggled to fit exercise into my routine. I struggled making that decision that these are the days I train and I have to prioritise that over anything else. I had to change my mindset completely from doing exercise to lose weight/look certain way or punish myself for that pizza, to realising I am doing this for my health and to feel good. This wasn’t an overnight change for me and took nearly a year of regular exercise to get there.
Sounds simple but sticking to it regularly! I go 3 times every week for over a year and I only miss my sessions if i am away or ill (with a very few exceptions!). I also feel so much stronger and fitter which gives me more confidence in my life.
I feel more focused and empowered. I also have a more positive attitude towards health and fitness.
It takes time and there are no shortcuts for long term goals. It will take time to build good habits that are sustainable but it you stick to it you will find your ways of doing things.
I tried everything and this is the only thing that worked for me.
